 Job
Summary: The Financial
Accountant will be responsible for providing operational support in Budgeting,
Planning & Reporting function of Treasury section-Finance Department. The
Manager is responsible for the day-to-day completion of assigned tasks within
given time
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compile
    and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including
    monthly and annual accounts
  • Ensure
    financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and
    procedures.
  • Prepare
    financial reports and ensure that the financial reporting deadlines are
    met.
  • To
    prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Resolve
    accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Provide
    support to budget and forecast activities
  • Support
    and monitor taxation issues
  • Develop
    and maintain financial data bases
  • Ensure
    accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses.     
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • The
    job holder should posses two years of experience working in a Telecom
    Finance Department
  • A
    Qualified Financial Accountant with 2-3 years of Post
  • Proficiency
    with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio
  • Hands-on
    experience with accounting software, preferably SUN systems.
  • Excellent
    analytical skills and experience analysis tools
  • Demonstrated
    ability to understand and solve complex financial issues
  • Strong
    understanding of Telecom Financial Processes i.e. GSM, Fixed line, ISP
  • Strong
    Interpersonal skills
  • Organisational

  • Excellent
    communication skills
  • Ability
    to see opportunities and solve problems moment to moment
  • High
