Vision Uganda (WVU) is a Christian Relief, Development and Advocacy
Non-Government Organization dedicated to working with children, families and
communities to overcome poverty and injustice. We currently work in over 40
districts in Uganda. World Vision is committed to the protection of children

sector at Strategic level within World Vision Uganda and also projecting our
position at the national level.
- Overall responsibility for managing and motivating a
large team of supervisory and technical staff insuring they work efficiently and effectively - Representation and advocacy for WVU WASH programming at
National Level forum, strategically positioning the organization for
portfolio expansion - Ensure that activities are leading to the desired
project outcomes and that they are being implemented according to the
project document and within WV International guidelines regulations - Work in close collaboration with the Integrated
Programmes and Quality Assurance
Directors to ensure the project is working towards fulfilling the WVU
National Strategy and is implemented in harmony with Area Development
Programme management - Ensure the M&E system is effective in delivering information for
close monitoring and control of the project
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Water, Sanitation and
Hygiene program design, implementation, M&E, research and policy, and
strategy development. - A Masters degree (preferred) in Water and
Sanitation engineering, Public Health or any other closely related
technical field. - Skills in resource mobilisation including proposal
writing, report writing, networking and representation. Strong
interpersonal communication skills, and excellent written and analytic
skills. - Knowledge of WASH sector policies and guidelines e.g the
National Water policy. - Knowledge in water, hygiene and sanitation participatory
methodologies like PHAST, CLTS, Sanitation Marketing, Behaviour Change
Communication and other related innovative hygiene and sanitation
approaches (incl. sanitation value chain) that are necessary for the
promotion of hygiene and sanitation interventions at scale. - A mature and committed Christian, able to stand above
denominational diversities.
