About EOC:
The Equal Opportunities Commission, established in 2007 is by the Equal Opportunities Act is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equality and fairness.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate the Commission’s planning and budgeting.
- Prepare and review a comprehensive five year strategic plan for the Commission.
- Prepare Annual and mid-term plans in line with the strategic plan, policies, programs, and projects.
- Compile and consolidate quarterly and annual progress reports and submit them to management for further action.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- An Honors Bachelors Degree in Quantitative Economics, Economics, Statistics or Development Studies from a recognized University/Institution.
- Postgraduate qualification in project planning and management will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of three (3) years working experience at the level of a Planner / Economist, in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
- Be abreast with government business and priorities.
Personal Competencies: Internalize Government Plans, Equal Opportunities Analysis, Computer Literacy, Knowledge and Skills of Using Output Budgeting Tool (OBT) software, Statistical Accounting Software Skills, Communication Skills, Ethics and Integrity Management, and Interpersonal Skills.
