training institution, the Makerere University College of Health Sciences. 
IDI is registered as a non-government organization, is owned by Makerere
University, and is funded by both public and private resources.  IDI’s
focus is strengthening care and treatment of HIV and related infectious
diseases – for people living with HIV across Africa. Since its
establishment, IDI’s mandate has expanded to cover HIV prevention, malaria, TB
and capacity building in research and laboratory services.  IDI supports
Adult Safe Male Circumcision as part of HIV prevention across eight districts
in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Monitoring and Evaluation
Specialist will be charged with the coordination of all M& E aspects of the
project while supporting teams including the data manager.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design , develop and implement the project M&E
    systems
  • Identification or development of data collection tools
    for use by the project ; including project databases.
  • Oversee input, storage and appropriate use of data to
    track project performance and provide feedback to stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely collection of data in relation to all
    project indicators.
  • Develop and refine M& E indicators for the project
    related to the realization of objectives and work plans.
  • Carry out reviews and development of work plans and log
    frames.
  • Produce quarterly KPI for the project.
  • Establish, coordinate and implement Quality Assurance
    and Control systems to ensure data accuracy, validity and integrity.
  • Steer the process of timely report writing for both
    internal & external use.
  • Present M&E project results in meetings.
  • Ensure data analysis and reported on in project
    management as well as disseminating findings to key stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Statistics , Quantitative Economics
    , Health or Social /Behavioral Sciences or any other relevant field
  • A Post graduate qualification in Public Health
    , Project Planning and Management , Monitoring and Evaluation ,
    Statistics , Biostatics or any related fields will be an added advantage .
  • At least three years of relevant work
    experience in a similar position.
