Job Title: Driver

Reports to: Finance &
Administration Manager
About Five Talents:
Five Talents Uganda (FTU) Ltd. is an Anglican Christian
Micro-enterprise Development Institution affiliated with Five Talents International
(FTI) with Five Talents United Kingdom (FTUK) as Major Partner.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drive the vehicle and ensure safety of
    passengers, luggage and equipment whilst in the vehicle
  • Ensure that the vehicle is clean and tidy
  • Report when the vehicle is due for service
    and repairs; regularly check for expiry dates for third party insurance
    and motor vehicle license and inform the supervisor one month before they
    expire
  • Adhere to the vehicle maintenance and
    handling procedure
  • Update the logbook regularly
  • Adhere to the road traffic rules and
    regulations
Qualifications, Skills &
Experience:
  • Minimum of UACE with three years
    uninterrupted work experience as a driver in a busy organization
  • Valid driving permit with the relevant
    classes (B & DL)
  • Defensive driving, basic skills in vehicle
    fault diagnosis and trouble shooting
  • Good spoken and written English language
  • Communicating effectively and respectfully
    with all FTU Stakeholders as appropriate, in a spirit of cooperation
    and in accordance with FTU Christian values.
