Uganda Development Bank Ltd
is the country’s only Development Finance Institution (DFI) established in
1972. The Bank has recently re-positioned itself as a partner to the Government
of Uganda in delivering the theme of its National Development Plan (NDP):
Growth, Employment and Socio- Economic transformation for prosperity, together
with Vision Uganda 2040: A transformed Ugandan society from a peasant to a
modern and prosperous country within 30 years.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Contribute
    to the achievement of Banks and business objectives by providing advice
    and guidance on strategy
  • Initiate
    the development of strategies that will support the achievement of the
    organizational mission, core values and business, credit and financial
    matters
  • Provide
    ongoing advice to Board members on business, credit and financial matters
  • Continuously
    evaluate strategic direction to confirm alignment with Bank objectives
 Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors
    degree in any of the following fields: business administration, project
    management, commerce, finance, economics, engineering or statistics
    specializing in fields such as banking, finance, economics, accounting.
  • Masters
    Degree in Project Management, Finance, Development Finance, Economics is a
    MUST
  • Sound
    knowledge of the principles and practices of development banking,
    commercial banking, quantitative surveys of projects and the rules and
    procedures that govern the banking sector
  • Eight
    years in management in a similar environment in a financial institution
    with three years’ experience in preparation and presentation of relevant
    Board matters.
