Research Organization (NARO) is the apex body for guidance and coordination of
all agricultural research activities of the National Agricultural Research
system in Uganda.
Responsibilities:
·
Trained
interviewers will implement a structured questionnaire with each house hold to
collect cross-sectional and retrospective information on maternal well-being,
livelihood strategies , the characteristics of household members and the
location and management of agricultural plots .
·
Proxy
reports will be collected on the location and status of households and
individuals that have died or left the community.
·
Additional
GPS points will be collected at the location, of new household and
plot-locations, allowing us to use geographic information systems and
additional spatial –datasets to describe their topographic, ecological and
climate contexts.
& Experience:
·
Bachelor
of Arts Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or related disciplines like Bachelor
of Science in Agriculture, Soil Science, Environment or Related disciplines.
·
Knowledge
of the local language in that particular distinct is a Must.
·
Successful
candidates should be prepared to live upcountry during the duration of the
survey.
