Job Title: Research Manager


About Population Council:
The Population Council seeks fulltime experienced health and social
scientist to manage the Uganda operations research activities for Link Up-a
multi-faced project addressing intergration of sexual and reproductive health
and HIV services for young people .

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate and with implementing partners
  to ensure alignment of  research
  activities and programmatic aims ;
• Contribute to the development of project
  evaluation and OR methods, tools and protocols;
• Oversee local ethical review processes and
  requirements .
• Manage local research activities according
  to established work plans, budgets and timelines;
• Manage recruitment and supervision of
  study staff and subcontractors
  
      

Qualifications, Skills &
Experience: 

• PhD in social sciences, public health, or
  related field plus 5 years relevant research and/or training experience;
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement,
  analyze and disseminate research;
• Experience supervising and monitoring data
  collection and data management.
• Technical expertise with HIV and/or SRH
  program preferred ;
• Experience with qualitative and
  quantitative research and evaluation skills to colleagues, partners, and
  local organizations;
