Bank Ltd started as an initiative of the Uganda National Lay Apostolate in 1983
as a credit Trust and it begun operations in 1985 with the main objective
of serving the rural poor and contributing to the overall economic development
of the country. In 1993, Centenary Rural Development Bank Ltd was registerd as
a full service commercial Bank. Today we are a leading Microfinance Commercial
Bank in Uganda serving over 1,300,000 customers. Our services can be accessed
across our 58 full service branches and 142 ATMs networked countrywide.
Summary: The job holder
will develop and coordinate the implementation of the marketing
plans for the Bank in line with the Bank’s business plan.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Liaise
with line departments to coordinate the development and implementation of
the Marketing Plan in line with the bank’s strategic plan. - Monitor
the advertising and promotional programmes of the bank in line with the
overall marketing plan - Coordinate
the design and update the Bank’s products and services on the electronic
platform in liaison with the Business Technology Division according
to the Bank’s products, specifications Business plan & policies. - Plan
and coordinate the implementation Brand application across all brand touch
points in order to ensure consistency of the brand across all brand touch
points. - Monitor
and assess the Centenary brand equity through market surveys,
observations, internal audits and mystery shopping to understand Centenary
Bank’s brand performance in the financial institutions sector. - Market
the brand internally to staff through integrated communications campaigns
and trainings in order to build and ensure standardization of the
Centenary Bank staff brand across the network. - Identify
branding needs and ensure these are addressed in a timely manner in
liaison with the respective departments to ensure maintenance of high
standards across the board. - Develop
Brand and Product concepts including concepts for press, electronic and
point of sale materials, annual reports and staff handbooks to ensure
consistency with the Brand standards and values. - Manage
the relationship with the Advertising agencies and deliver on inputs for
image and product communications strategies in liaison with marketing and
other divisions/ business heads. - Manage
the Performance and Development of staff in line with the HR policy and
the performance management guidelines.
Skills & Experience:
- Honours
Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Commerce, Statistics and
other related disciplines. - Post
graduate qualification in marketing, Branding or relevant field. - Specialized
training in strategy implementation an added advantage. - At
least 4 years experience in business development, marketing,
product management at supervisory level in a large corporate
environment. - Demonstrated
practical knowledge of branding and marketing management - Familiarity
with computer applications. - Ability
to work as part of a team. - High
level of integrity. - Excellent
interpersonal relations, oral and written communication skills. - Strategic
and conceptual ability. - Proven
ability to meet timelines and handle multiple tasks - Great
communication and feedback skills.
