Title: Data Specialist, TB

Management Sciences for
Health (MSH) is an international non-profit, public health organisation with
headquarters in USA, whose purpose is to strengthen health programs worldwide.
MSH Uganda is currently running a number of USAID and other donor funded
projects including SURE, both in Kampala and other parts of the country.
SURE (Securing Ugandans’
Right to Essential Medicines) will ensure that the population of Uganda has
access to adequate quantities of good quality essential medicines and health
supplies (EMHS) by strengthening the national essential medicines and health
commodities supply system.

• Maintain
  open lines of communication with districts to ensure that their TB
  treatment facilities report and order for TB drugs in a timely manner;
  Follow- up on reporting from districts to ensure complete and accurate
  data is submitted and to follow up on non- reporting districts to ensure
  that logistics reports are submitted.
• Work
  with relevant staff at NTLP to enter data from sources as they become
  available, in all existing databases (Supply Chain Manager, Pipeline and
  Quick books or any other databases developed); and to maintain back up
  CD’s of the NTLP databases
• Work
  with NMS sales team to ensure that distribution reports are provided to
  the NTLP; and that facility orders are processed and dispatched to
  facilities in a timely manner as per established NMS schedule
• Work
  with the NTLP Senior Data Management Specialist to prepare reports on
  quarterly basis, as required by the NTLP program manager for performance
  monitoring and decision making. Such reports may include but not be
  limited to: allocation reports, District and Facility performance, and
  Stock status.
• Work
  with the NTLP Senior Data Management Specialist to identify poorly
  performing districts and facilities; and to plan and conduct targeted
  interventions to improve their performance.
• Carry
  out additional responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time in
  consultation with the Supervisor and/or Country Director.

Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:

• Bachelors
  degree in statistics, IT, degree in a medical field or related field
• 3
  years experience with medicines logistics/ inventory management
  information systems is an advantage
• 3
  years experience in data management
• Willingness
  to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and shifting deadlines
• Strong
  organizational, teamwork and team-building skills
• Demonstrated
  computer skills and analytical packages
