Summary: The Buyer is
responsible for managing and purchasing raw materials, ensuring best price,
quality, and timely delivery of all purchases.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Manage
local and import order placing, delivery and payments as per the lead
times agreed - Apply
production and demand planning in the ordering process - Process
for insurance cover for all imports and lodge claims whenever necessary - Make
relevant reports on time for quick decision making - Ensure
accurate stock take is done for raw materials as per the planned schedule - Ensure
FIFO and FEFO is implemented as per the aging report - Ensure
the procurement policy and ethical code of conduct is adhered to by the
suppliers - Should
be able to apply budget pricing to the ordering process
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
Skills & Experience:
- Holder
of a degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum
of 2 years experience in a similar environment (FMCC Plant) is an added
advantage. - Computer
Literacy – Word, PowerPoint and Excel is a must. - Should
be disciplined and a dynamic team leader. - Should
have a proactive mindset, self-driven, self-starter. - Able
to communicate effectively both verbally and written. - Good
communication skills. - Customer
centric disposition. - A
good team player
