Job
Summary:
To provide
overall leadership for departmental operations through developing strategies
and implementing them to improve the health impact and profitability of the
current product portfolio, as well as develop and implement new business
opportunities to improve the bottom line.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop
    strategies with detailed execution plans to achieve greater financial
    sustainability.
  • Create,
    motivate and manage a high quality team to successfully improve and scale
    up operations.
  • Achieve
    agreed goals by providing leadership and oversight for all operational
    areas, including marketing, sales, financial planning and new business
    development.
  • Ensure
    the successful launch of new health products.
  • Develop
    positive relationships with government, donors, NGOs, and commercial
    businesses to help achieve objectives.
  • Establish
    a monitoring and management information system, and use the data for
    analysis to improve strategy, planning and productivity.
  • Manage
    and report on all objectives and activities on a monthly basis.
 Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • Educational
    background in business management and/or a pharmacist/doctor with
    demonstrated entrepreneurial experience in pharmaceutical marketing, sales
    and/or new business development.
  • At
    least 6 years work experience in related fields.
  • Proven
    track record of financial management.
  • Conversant
    in issues of International Public Health (especially reproductive health)
  • Proven
    business analysis and judgment with the ability to proactively manage
    business and P&L to meet objectives.
  • Ability
    to work in deadline driven/results orientated atmospheres
  • Strong
    people management skills
  • Ability
    to manage and motivate teams to achieve results
  • Strategic
    guidance and planning skills
  • Ability
    to develop and implement effective strategic plans and marketing
    strategies (new business development)
  • Ability
    to manage and prioritise a demanding work load
