Title: Assistant Accountant
to: Pension Fund
Accountant
Summary: To ensure prompt
reconciliation of: pension contributions, bank, custodial and investment
transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To
undertake monthly reconciliation of contributions, and take corrective
actions when necessary. - To
monitor all investment transactions and reconcile Custodian and Fund
Manager’s reports on a monthly basis. - To
prepare payroll reconciliation. - To
prepare bank reconciliation for all accounts. - To
monitor remittances and income collections to the Scheme. - To
maintain fixed assets register. - Any
other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Skills & Experience:
- A
minimum of an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance or Accounting,
or Commerce (Accounting Option), or Business Administration (Accounting
option) with at least part II of a professional accounting qualifications
such as ACCA (fundamentals), or CPA. - At
least 2 (two) years working experience in a busy accounting environment. - Financial
analytical skills and user knowledge of accounting Software. - Computerized
record keeping. - Good
Interpersonal Skills. - Ability
to work under minimum supervision.
