Title: Assistant Accountant

Job
Summary:
To ensure prompt
reconciliation of: pension contributions, bank, custodial and investment
transactions.

Key
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • To
    undertake monthly reconciliation of contributions, and take corrective
    actions when necessary.
  • To
    monitor all investment transactions and reconcile Custodian and Fund
    Manager’s reports on a monthly basis.
  • To
    prepare payroll reconciliation.
  • To
    prepare bank reconciliation for all accounts.
  • To
    monitor remittances and income collections to the Scheme.
  • To
    maintain fixed assets register.
  • Any
    other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
 Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
  • A
    minimum of an Honour’s Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance or Accounting,
    or Commerce (Accounting Option), or Business Administration (Accounting
    option) with at least part II of a professional accounting qualifications
    such as ACCA (fundamentals), or CPA.
  • At
    least 2 (two) years working experience in a busy accounting environment.
  • Financial
    analytical skills and user knowledge of accounting Software.
  • Computerized
    record keeping.
  • Good
    Interpersonal Skills.
  • Ability
    to work under minimum supervision.
