About
Mildmay:
Mildmay Uganda is an
HIV/AIDS treatment and training centre also providing technical support for
Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16
districts of Central Uganda. Situated on Entebbe Road, Lweza, south of Kampala.
Job
Summary:
The job holder will
ensure  that the  laboratory samples  are  routinely picked
from  health facilities  and delivered  to the lab  hub at
the designated  Hospital/Health  Centre IV  and results  of
the same  delivered  back to the  health facilities .

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • O
    level Certificate with a valid riding permit .
  • 3
    years experience in motor bike riding with record
    of previous work with   community based organizations.
  • Experience
    in   medical related sample transportation and/or basic
    training  in laboratory work is added advantage .
  • Must
    possess knowledge of road signs and traffic laws and fluent in 
    Luganda .
  • Good
    communication and interpersonal skills, and working knowledge of English
    and local language(s) are crucial.
  • Hard
    working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and
    confidentiality.
  • Must
    be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with
    the Christian values of Mildmay International.
  • Evidence
    of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality
    and lifestyle is critical.
  • Applicants 
    must be  willing to work  upcountry.
