Summary: As EOSH
Specialist you will report directly to the Quality, Environment, Occupational
Health and Safety Manager in Kampala and Safety, Health, Environment and
Quality Manager in Mbarara.

Key
Duties & Responsibilities:

Carry
out health and safety assessment for the plant and contractors on site. - ·
Develop
counter measures and procedures to mitigate any risks identified. - ·
Train
all personnel on site on occupational health and safety of the environment,
occupational safety and health program, investigate accidents and incidents. - ·
Conduct
safety and fire drills at specific time intervals. - ·
Coordinate
implementation of health and safety procedures. - ·
Compile
periodic reports for management review
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
Skills & Experience:
- ·
Bachelor’s
Degree in Mechanical or Chemistry or Environmental Management or related field. - ·
2
years’ Experience in health and safety field preferably in a manufacturing
environment. - ·
Knowledge
of Quality Management System and ISO would be an added advantage. - ·
Must
possess good analytical ability and problem solving skills, with a proactive
attitude. - ·
Must
be a strong team player possessing a high degree of integrity, flexibility,
honesty and ability to work under minimum supervision
