Founded in 2003, International Lifeline Fund (ILF) is a private, non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. Within Uganda, ILF’s activities focus on increasing rural water access, improving sanitation conditions, and combating deforestation with fuel-efficient stoves, ILF is currently seeking to recruit:
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assessing, implementing and monitoring water-drilling activities
- Undertaking drilling activities at borehole sites
- Maintaining WASH program assets, equipment and materials
- Identify mechanical problems and perform basic maintenance of equipment
- Document field work
- Compile weekly and monthly reports
- Complete supply requests to Logistics
- Assist in community mobilization, as well as Sanitation & Hydro activities
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Diploma in water engineering preferred
- Knowledge of hydrological surveys is a plus
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Willingness to spend the majority of the time in the field
- High sense of responsibility and flexibility
- Number of years of drilling experience and experience of equipment previously used should be indicated in the application.
