AMREF is the largest, indigenous health development nongovernmental organization based in Africa. We are looking for individuals who are organized, highly motivated and results-oriented to join a dynamic team to fill the following positions in the Sexual reproductive Health area.
Job Summary: The “Staying Alive Project” (Fistula care and prevention, Post Abortal Care, Family Planning and EmOC) Manager is the project head and budget holder of the AMREF MCH project. He/She is responsible for day to day project implementation of activities and to ensure the successful implementation of quality Sexual Reproductive Health project within the approved cost, schedule and quality. The incumbent is expected to have specific responsibility for reporting to and liaising with donors on respective projects. The position holder is expected to ensure approved project deliverables are achieved according to agreed contractual obligations. The Manager will oversee the implementation of the technical, financial and Administrative components of the project and will work closely with the project officers, accountants, M&E officers and the support staff to ensure efficient and effective strategic implementation of the program; and creation and sustenance of high levels of linkages with relevant government of Uganda, Health development agencies and other implementing partners.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· Masters degree in Public Health
· A medical Background is an added advantage.
· 5 years of progressive diverse experience in the direct implementation of SRH/ MCH projects, 3 of which should be at a senior Managerial level.
