About SAA/SG2000:
SAA/SG2000 is a non-profit non-governmental international organization that promotes demonstration and widespread adoption of improved pre and post-production agricultural technologies for smallholder farmers in Uganda in collaboration with relevant government institutions, farmers’ organizations and the private sector.
Job Summary: She/he will be responsible for consolidating farmer organizations and scaling up the formation of more producer organizations in Uganda.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of SG2000 Country Director with technical backstopping from Sasakawa Africa Fund for Education Program Coordinator, the core role of the PO will be to:

· Strengthen the capacity of FBOs in organizational management and leadership
· Engage FBOs in developing viable agro-based businesses;
i. Develop organizational training modules
ii. Develop commodity training modules
iii. Develop commodity business plans
iv. Develop leaflets, flyers, posters
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· B.Sc in Agricultural Economic, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Cooperative Management or related fields and at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in farmers organizations and management.
· Very good oral, analytical, writing and presentational skills;
· Computer literacy is a MUST.
· Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder working environments.
· A Masters degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
