Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor
Reports to: Assistant Engineer.
Job Summary: The holder of this post is responsible for maintenance and repair of road construction equipment and vehicles at the UNRA Station. The services will include deployment of vehicles, plant and equipment to various work sites.
Key duties & Responsibilities:
· To maintain the inventory of plant, equipment, vehicles and workshop tools at the Station
· To prepare plant, equipment and vehicles maintenance schedules
· To supervise the repair and maintenance activities for vehicles, plant and equipment;
· To carry out inspection of equipment and vehicles and determine their maintenance/repair needs
· To ensure that workshop facilities are kept in good working order;
· To guide and train mechanics, drivers and Plant Operators in areas to their routine tasks;
· To prepare daily, monthly and quarterly reports on vehicles, plants and equipment; and
· To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· The post holder must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering plus at least three years’ working experience in maintenance of road construction equipment and vehicles or A Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering plus at least five years’ working experience in maintenance of road construction equipment and vehicles.
· He/she must be prepared to work on filed activities and upcountry stations in any part of the country..
