About Stanbic Bank: Stanbic Bank Uganda is looking to attract inspired individuals with the skills to offer world class business solutions to our customers in the following position.
Job Purpose: The job holder is to create a commodity specific best in class sourcing leadership to the organisation by bench-marking new processes, approaches, and technology that will continually drive improvements on performance and business results, maximising value to the organisation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Implement the Bank’s procurement system, policies and procedures; and initiate reviews where necessary, taking, advantage of applicable world-class supply chain management concepts and keeping a high level of integrity in the procurement function
· Manage the selection of suppliers, their evaluation and relationship with them in a professional and selfless manner
· Execute the sourcing of goods and services through a supply chain management process that maximises value, provides excellent customer service and exceeds total cost of ownership (TCO) targets
· Undertake defined aspects of key commercial activities necessary to support delivery of the commercial solution (e.g. Contract Due Diligence) – undertake relevant analysis as required at key stages of the sourcing process.
· Manage the handover of commercial arrangements into live operation post- contract award.
· Research, identify, and analyse current supplier and market trends
· Developing, reviewing and implementing an effective system for confirming and fast tracking user requests/requisitions, LPOs, procurement orders, in-ward deliveries of inventory and prompt updating to stakeholders on status of procurements
· Ensure sourcing is in line with organisational and external governance
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· A business related degree or equivalent/ MSc in Procurement & Supply Chain Management
· At least 5 years work experience in procurement, tender committee proceedings, contracts and supply chain management
· Full member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or equivalent is a MUST
· Extensive knowledge of sourcing and supplier management techniques
· Negotiations skills
· Risk management and project management skills
