Reports to: Rights, Justice and Peace Component Manager (CM)
- Provide analysis of key developments as well as local, national and international “best practices” in the area of “Access to Justice” (A2J).
- Ensure good working relationships with key stakeholders, including the effective management of relations with state and non-state partner organizations.
- Provide technical input to the development of annual work plans and budgets of DGF and its partners.
- Review and provide comments to narrative and financial reports received from partners.
- Provide capacity development support to partners.
- Responsible for reporting on the indicators, milestones and targets of the A2J-sub-component as specified in the DGF Log Frame.
- Summarizing results, challenges faced and “lessons learned” in the sub-component.
- Provide “case stories” and other information designed for communication to wider audiences.
- Ensure compliance with the “Business Procedures” of the DGF.
- Undertake any other assignments as delegated by the Component Manager.
- A Masters Degree in Law and/or another relevant subject from a recognized university.
Additional qualifications in project and program management & administration, including the management of partner relations, would be a distinct advantage. - A solid in-depth understanding of challenges facing A2J in Uganda as well as recent developments with regard to justice sector management and legal aid.
