Under the supervision of
the Local Representative, the Infrastructure programme Officer will:

- Follow
up and monitor in-progress operations in energy and water sectors,
including: - Follow
up of the implementation of projects (loans both sovereign and
non-sovereign, and grant) under the responsibility of Programme officers
based in Paris Headquarters; (supervision mission, analysis of procurement
documents, of feasibility studies, ESIA etc.) - Reporting
to Paris headquarters, - Participation
in the decision making process; - Transmission
to our local partners of AFD decisions and proposals made in the course of
the programs; - Drafting
of correspondence to borrowers, co financiers and other stakeholders. - Develop
the portfolio and participate in appraisal process of new projects. - Do
networking with diverse partners (Government of Uganda, relevant
Government bodies, donors, NGOs, research institutions, private sector,
etc.)
Qualifications,
Skills & Experience:
- Infrastructure
engineer or Energy/Water engineer back ground, additional investment
knowledge would be highly appreciated. - At
least five years of experiences in. energy or water project monitoring. - Good
knowledge of institutional (ministerial) functioning - Ability
to work in autonomy. - Strong
interpersonal skills. - Computer
literacy Microsoft (Word, excel, etc.). - Excellent
English written and oral communication skills. - French
speaker will be an advantage (if not, French lessons would be proposed).
