About AIR:
The American Institutes for Research (AIR) seeks qualified professionals for an upcoming USAID-funded health communication project in Uganda. All positions will work collaboratively with the MOH and other key stakeholders.
Job Summary: Responsible for the design and implementation of the Communication for Healthy Communities Learning Agenda. Develop the monitoring, evaluation and research reporting systems to ensure accurate, timely and complete reporting and to ensure that project MER is conducted in accordance with the project’s Performance Monitoring Plan.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· Master’s degree in public health, social science or other relevant field;
· Minimum of 8 years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation and research in the public health field. Experience working with multiple stakeholders is a plus;
· Demonstrated expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research and analytical methods;
· Experience in research/study design and implementation, including design and data analysis of quantitative and qualitative studies, rapid appraisals, etc.;
· Demonstrated hands-on experience setting up and managing MER systems for health programs in developing countries;
· Familiarity with PEPFAR indicators and reporting requirements;
· Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills, including oral presentation skills;
· Experience in knowledge management and dissemination of research findings.
