Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for offering technical support and clinical mentorship to the District Health System / Health Facilities for scale up of HIV and AIDS Care.
About Mildmay:
Mildmay Uganda is an HIV/AIDS treatment and training centre also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. Situated on Entebbe Road, Lweza, south of Kampala, Mildmay Uganda is seeking applications from experienced and motivated people interested in a rewarding career undertaking the challenging roles.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.
· Qualification in Public Health is an added advantage.
· S/he must be registered with relevant professional body and possess a current annual practicing license.
· Successful applicant will have at least 3 years’ experience as a medical practitioner in a recognized medical facility with knowledge and experience of HIV/AIDS care.
· Knowledge of Ministry of Health and District health systems and ability to demonstrate and mentor in HIV/AIDS diagnosis, prevention and care are o requirement for this job.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial.
· Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
· Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
· Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
