Job Summary: The position holder will be responsible for ensuring that all financial records are accurately written, properly maintained and regular/ periodical returns are properly compiled and submitted to Finance Manager.
S/he will also ensure efficient Treasury, Debtors and Creditors management
About Mildmay:
Mildmay Uganda is an HIV/AIDS treatment and training centre also providing Health Systems Strengthening to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services in 16 districts of Central Uganda. Situated on Entebbe Road, Lweza, south of Kampala, Mildmay Uganda is seeking applications from experienced and motivated people interested in a rewarding career undertaking the challenging roles.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· Bachelors Degree preferably B.Com (Accounting), BBA (Accounting) plus full professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA.
· Successful candidate will have at least 5 years relevant work experience 2 of them in middle management positions in Accounting, Finance or Auditing field.
· S/he must have proven knowledge of donor financial accounting procedures (multi donor reporting) and clear understanding of GoU and IAS/AFRS accounting requirements
· Must have strong analytical ability and integrity.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in various MS office packages and working knowledge of English and local language(s) are crucial.
· Hard working, trust-worthy, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
· Must be flexible, reliable, able to work under pressure; and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
· Evidence of a non-judgemental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
