Job Title: Stores Officer
Reports to: Manager Administration
Centenary Bank, the leading Commercial Microfinance Bank in Uganda seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and competent persons in the following fields;
Job Summary: To receive deliveries from suppliers, record, arrange and keep the items in the store, issue items as per approved requisitions and prepare purchase requisitions for replacement of store stock in line bank guidelines.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Verify quantity, quality and specifications of delivered items against purchase orders and delivery notes, receive, arrange and safely store the items for preservation in line with set stores management guidelines and procedures.
·         Issue out and dispatch items as per approved requisitions and confirm delivery of the items by the courier and receipt of the items by the intended recipient as applicable.
·         Maintain store ledger and bin cards and record all items received and issued out in the bin cards in line with the defined stores management guidelines.
·         Participate in the implementation of all periodic stock taking activities for the store in liaison in line with set stores management guidelines and procedures.
·         Prepare monthly and periodic status reports on the stores function for the attention of all stakeholders.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         An honours Degree in Logistics and Supply chain Management or related field from rep­utable institution of higher learning.
·         At least 2 years experience in a similar posi­tion in a large organization
·         High level of integrity.
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·         Good planning and organizational skills
·         Confidentiality.
·         Computer knowledge and skill.
·         Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
·         Project management skills.
·         Customer service orientation.
