Banking Jobs – Manager, Alternative Channels at Centenary

Reports to: Chief Manager, Alternative Channels & Business Systems
Centenary Bank, the leading Commercial Microfinance Bank in Uganda seeks to recruit suitably qualified, experienced and competent persons in the following fields;
Job Summary: Responsible for the management and growth of all Alternative Channels and ensure provision of full time availability services to meet customer needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         To ensure full availability (24/7) of the Position System and e-Channels including ATMs, POS, PC Banking, Internet Banking, Western Union and Mobile Money Banking in line with ICT policy , procedures and Banks Strategic Plan.
·         To facilitate customer focused initiatives for ATMs, POS, PC Banking, Internet Banking, Western Union and Mobile Money Banking in line with Operations strategy.
·         To liaise with all internal Service Delivery Divisions of the Bank in tracking and responding to customer queries / complaints to ensure smooth operations of the Postilion System and the e-Channels in line with ICT policy and procedures.
·         To manage relationship with vendors for information technology solutions related to Postilion System and e-Channels in line with the SLA between the Bank and the Vendors.
·         To Manage and mitigate risks related to information technology solutions for the Postilion System and e-Channels in line with Banks ICT Policy, Regulations and Risks guidelines.
·         To Review and document the application of the Software Releases/updates for e-Chan­nels in line with the ICT Policy and Vendor specifications.
·         To ensure that periodic Backups are taken and documented, plan and supervise the annual DR Testing of the E-Banking Systems.
·         Develop and document standard procedures for monitoring performance of the E-Banking Systems in line with ICT Policy and procedures. Prepare and coordinate the Preventive Maintenance Schedules line with manufacturer’s guidelines and ICT Policy and guidelines
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Minimum of Bachelors degree in any of the following – Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Computing, Electrical Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering.
·         Relevant Postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
·         Should have 4 years experience in Electronic Channel/Banking management including ATM, Mobile Banking System, Point of Sales, Internet Banking in a financial institution
·         In-depth knowledge of the Electronic Banking Industry, the required technologies and the Vendors/Providers
·         Prior experience managing people in a direct reporting structure.
·         Strong research, analytical, planning and problem solving skills
·         Familiarity with Project Management methodologies.
·         Experience working with and negotiating with third-party Service providers.
·         High energy, flexibility, ability to multi-task, prioritize and deliver under pressure on a 24/7 basis.
·         Communication skills (both verbal and written) with a successful track record of working with all levels of internal and external teams.
