Austrian Embassy Jobs – Water & Sanitation Expert

Reports to: Head of Office
The Coordination Office for Development Cooperation of the Austrian Embassy Addis Ababa in Kampala is locally recruiting a Water & Sanitation Expert.

Key Duties &Responsibilities:
  • Project monitoring
  • Assessment, analysis and compilation of progress and final reports (narrative and financial)
  • Participation in the water and sanitation sector policy dialogue and sector coordination
  • Support in tendering and management of consultancy contracts
  • Further assistance to the Water & Sanitation Program Officer in ADA program management.
Qualification, Skills and Experience:
  • University degree, with a focus on water and sanitation
  • Project and programme management skills and sound understanding of Project Cycle Management
  • Experience in management of EU funded projects is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Ugandan public administration and the water and sanitation sector
  • At least 7 years’ experience in technical, economic and financial issues related to water and sanitation projects.
  • Experience in water supply and sanitation for small towns and rural growth centres
  • Computer skills
  • Languages: Excellent English language skills; Knowledge of German is an advantage
