About UNMC:
The Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) is a statutory professional body responsible for the regulation of the nursing and midwifery profession in Uganda. Our mission is to set and regulate standards of training and practice, register and enroll nurses and midwives and provide professional guidance for public safety.
Job Summary: To coordinate all Administrative, Personnel, and logistical processes in the council (including procurement/ disposal of assets, fleet management, hire and purchase of inputs).
Key Result Areas:
This position is an Administrative function responsible for:
·         Coordinating all Logistical aspects of the Council, in liaison with management;
·         Ensuring that all Council policies, procedures and processes are up-to-date and adhered to;
·         Coordinating and advising the Council on all aspects related to staffing.
·         Managing transport and related logistics;
·         Ensuring that all equipment, buildings, or other assets are maintained and in usable condition;
·         Coordinating the procurement and disposal processes of the Council;
·         Participating in Planning and budgeting for the department and Supervising departmental staff;
·         Coordinating the Performance Management function and Appraising staff under his/her supervision;
·         Writing minutes for Management meetings and following up on action decisions;
·         Any other assigned duties in line with the post.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         An Honours Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Human Resource, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration or Social Work and Social Administration, from a recognized university;
·         A Post graduate diploma in Public Administration or Human Resources Management, from a recognized institution;
·         A Certificate in Administrative law is a necessity.
·         A Continuous 2 (two) years’ experience of administrative work in a similar or related institution

·         Oral and written communication skills
·         Good report writing skills
·         Ability to coordinate diverse activities.
