Reports to: Network Operations and Maintenance Manager
Organisation: Uganda Telecom Ltd (UTL)
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Plan for the provision, redeployment or replacement of power and air conditioning equipment to optimize resources and continuously improve on the performance of the network.
· Draw up routine maintenance schedules, maintain performance and ensure the smooth implementation of the maintenance activities so as to achieve the targeted power availability in the entire network and deliver reliable services to the Customer.
· Submit regular reports on the performance of power and air conditioning plants, fuel and utility energy utilisation, and advise management on power related issues pertaining in the UTL Network
· Draw up and manage the Budget for the Power & Air conditioning and mange the resource planning, performance and training of the power team.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Applicants must have:
· Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or other related disciplines
· Postgraduate level in any related field is an added advantage.
· Membership of a professional body such as Uganda Association of Engineers is an added advantage
· Five Years experience in the installation and maintenance of Power & Air conditioning plants.
· Proven track record of achievements at a managerial level.
