Job Purpose: Responsible for all software development/maintenance related activities in UMEME.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Design and develop software solutions as required
·         Work with existing software deployed within UMEME
·         Introduce development standards and programming best practices
·         Encourage and participate in knowledge transfer
·         Work with software interfaces to third party vendors
·         Evaluate and recommend software as required
·         Data Warehouse design and reporting
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
·         Degree in IT, Computer Science or its equivalent
·         Detailed knowledge of at least one programming language
·         Five years plus experience in a software development environment
·         Experience using source control software. i.e. SVN
·         Understanding of build processes and release management
·         In dept knowledge of UNIX/LINUX systems
·         Familiarity with RDBMS’s and SQL. (Oracle, SQL Server etc)
