Organisation: Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited
Location: Head Office, Kampala, UgandaJob Summary: The primary purpose is to negotiate and acquire wayleaves for overhead and underground cables for the Company’s transmission network.
· Investigate and negotiate wayleaves for overhead and underground cables.
· Process and prepare settlement of damage compensation claims.
· Handle all matters relating to acquisition of properties such as land, houses, leases etc by the Company.
· Investigate wayleaves encroachment occurrences and complaints
· Enforce the Company’s wayleaves management policy
· Keep management informed of all issues relating to wayleaves
· Carry out wayleaves sensitizations activities
· Coordinate all wayleaves related activities within the Company
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The desired person should have the following essential requirements;
· University Degree in Land Economics or Valuation and Land management or equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution.
· Experience of five years working with a large reputable organization or professional valuation firm.
· Not above 32 years of age.
· Must be computer literate.
· Must possess good communication, reporting and interpersonal skills.
· Possession of a valid National Driving Permit is desired.
· Must be a diligent person able to withstand stressful work situations and tolerate demands for extra effort and work extra hours.
· A person of high integrity, highly motivated pro-active and a committed team player.
