Job Title: Project Officer
Organisation: TPO Uganda
Location: Kampala
Reports to: Program Manager
TPO Uganda seeks to recruit a competent person to fill the position of one of its projects in Northern Uganda.
Duties & Responsibilities
·         This position will be responsible for providing overall technical leadership to the project; including managing all aspects of project implementation; through liaison with implementing partners and other field staff;
·         Preparing and maintaining of reports;
·         Providing overall responsibility for the day to day operations including finance, administration and procurement;
·         Coordination and accountability of project activities and resource utilization.
Qualifications
·         A degree in Social work, Social sciences, Development studies or a related field of study.
·         A post graduate qualification in project management will be an added advantage.
Essential Experience
·         Previous experience of working in an NGO with — 5 years in a coordination position in the areas of Child rights, psychosocial support, community rehabilitation, trauma support, mental health; post conflict social protection.
·         Experience working in local government systems, managing private/public partnerships.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
·         Proven ability to motivate and develop a team.
·         Excellent organizational skills with ability to coordinate activities.
·         Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally
