Job Title: Millers
Reporting to: The Mill Manager
Organisation: Unga Millers (U) Ltd
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary:, The Millers will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of grain milling equipment in raw material receipts and converting of raw material into high quality wheat products.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1.       Optimizing the use of plant and machinery to manufacture maize and wheat products at the prescribed product extractions
2.      Ensuring that all manufactured products meet the company quality specification.
3.      Ensuring availability of well packaged products in the right quantity at the right time.
4.      Ensuring proper maintenance of milling equipment
5.      Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and HACCP, quality systems
6.      Ensuring that safety rules and regulations are observed by the mill staff including the use of protective personal protective equipment
7.      Learning and optimizing all aspects of milling to become a Shift Miller
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
        i.            Minimum diploma in Food Science & Technology or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. A certificate in Milling Technology will be an added advantage
     ii.            Must have worked in a manufacturing industry for at least one (1) year preferably.
   iii.            Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel , Ms PowerPoint etc)
    iv.            Good communication skills.
Gross Salary Range: UGX. 930,956 to 1,396,434 per month plus medical insurance
