PAX Insurance Company Ltd commenced business in 2008. It is a licensed insurer whose major shareholders are J.W Interservice arid the Uganda Episcopal Conference. The Company is involved in the provision of general insurance services to the public.
Job Purpose: As Head of the Marketing Department, to plan and implement marketing activities, supervise and mentor staff in the marketing department, to further develop and enhance PAX’s products and services in accordance with the strategic and business plans.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Prepare and implement marketing plans and budgets.
· Identify, screen and develop agents and branches.
· Monitor and analyze insurance market trends
· Study the competitors’ products, services and delivery mechanisms.
· Explore ways of improving existing products and services so as to improve sales and profitability.
· Identify gaps in the market for new products.
· Identify target markets and develop strategies to exploit them.
· Design and manage the production of promotional material.
· Produce timely and accurate marketing reports.
· Develop and implement appropriate corporate social responsibility programmes.
· Supervise and mentor staff in the marketing department
· Develop an advertising strategy and programme.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· A degree in Marketing or Business Related Field from a recognized University.
· Professional Qualification in Insurance or Marketing will be an added advantage.
· Working experience of at least 10 years in the insurance industry with at least 3 years in a supervisory level in the marketing department.
· Proven sales and marketing track record.
· A detailed knowledge of the local insurance market.
· A Uganda citizen.
