Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reporting to: Mill Manager
Organisation: Unga Millers (U) Ltd
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Job Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring smooth operation in running of the plant through service, repair or replacement of faulty units as necessary (electrical/mechanical) and competitive purchase of spare parts/service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
i. Developing and implementing necessary planned maintenance programs
ii. Inspecting and correcting position of webs, driving belts, screws conveyors, bucket elevators and shafts (alignment)
iii. Custodian of all machines and equipment records and servicing information.
iv. Procurement of quality spares at the most competitive prices
v. Managing the maintenance team to achieve desired targeted KPIs
vi. Active participation in site PaTaMu and Safety, Health, & Environment (SHE) activities with a view of meeting site targets of the same.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
· Minimum diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
· Must have worked in a manufacturing industry for at least three years preferably in a supervisory level.
· Experience in a grain milling industry will be an added advantage.
· Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, Ms PowerPoint etc)
· Dedication to work and ability to work for long and sometimes odd hours
Gross Salary Range: UGX. 930,956 to 1,396,434 per month plus medical insurance
