Job Title: Senior Officer – Basic Education (01 position)
Duty Station: Western Region, Kasese
Job Purpose: The job holder will be responsible for providing ongoing capacity support and coordination of the project partners with project planning, implementation, monitoring & evaluation and reporting.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A minimum of a Degree in Humanities or a relevant discipline. Additional or post graduate qualification in Education is an added advantage
- At least 3 years progressive experience in programme development and management with INGOs. Relevant experience supervising community based social development projects and with International NGOs particularly those addressing children’s rights and those applying partnership approach is desirable.
- Thorough understanding of child rights issues, national poverty alleviation strategies as well as current national and international trends in to global poverty and development.
- Specific familiarity with child rights issues in the NGO world or work.
- Strong financial, planning and budget management skills and experience.
- Effective interpersonal skills – oral and written communication skills
- Strong documentation, reporting, facilitation and presentation skills
