MasterCard Foundation Scholars ProgramBased on the understanding that the future of Africa will be determined majorly by the youth, the MasterCard Foundation has launched a scholar’s program the BRAC will be partnering with the Foundation to implement This Program me in Uganda. The vision of the program is to educate and develop bright, yet economically marginalized young people in Africa who have a demonstrated ‘ give-back” ethos, and who will contribute to the transformation of the continent. And it is on this note that BRAC Uganda invites applications from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill up the following vacant positions:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring liaisons and established, maintained and developed with all key stakeholders. And this among others will include;
- Support Programme Manager to establish and maintain liaison with existing and potential programme partners and explore potential partnerships for the benefit of the programme
- Establish and develop relations with government partners at central and district level. Particularly ensure government participation at key programme activities and ensure flow of information to the government.
- Establish and develop relations with educational institutions to ensure scholar enrolment and support
- Establish and develop relations with other development partners as required
- Ensure efficient and effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders regarding the programme
- Any other task assigned to achieve the vision of the programme.
- Must have a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences
- Experience of working with the Government and multiple stakeholders
- More than 05 years of work experience with Government, stake-holders
- Good knowledge on Ugandan Government structures
- Experience of working in a multicultural environment
- Good team player
Salary: Negotiable
Job Location: BRAC Country Office in Kampala (with lots of field work)
Direct supervisor: Program Manager
