- Manage PREFA/ CSF HIV/AIDS programming in the district in accordance to the project goals, objectives and planned activities.
- Prepare monthly work plan for the district consolidating sectoral work plans.
- Implement detailed monthly work-plans for PREFA sites in the district in collaboration with the responsible focal person in the district health office.
- Ensure that strong monitoring systems are in place at all sites through regular support supervision visits.
- Inform PREFA Program Officer of program developments through timely reports.
- Maintain a close and harmonious working relationship wilh relevant governmental partners, PREFA staff and other stakeholders working in the district through regular feedback meetings.
- Maintain overall control over program finances, human and material resources, ensuring that spending is in line with budget and the work plan.
- Prepare comprehensive and quality reports on a monthly, quarterly & annual basis.
- Liaise regularly with other HIV/AIDS stakeholders in the District to ensure that program activities complement other than overlapping with existing and planned initiatives.
- Should be able to implement the PREFA programme in an integrated manner and in coordination with different sectors in the community.
- Ensure compliance of program operations with PREFA policies and procedures.
- Should possess a bachelor’s degree in Public Health / Development Studies with a minimum ol at least two years working experience in a development /health sector managing HIV/AIDS programs in the community.
- Post graduate training in project planning and management is an added advantage.
- 4-7 years working experience in project management.
- Should possess demonstrable strong written and oral communication skills, excellent report writing.
- Should demonstrate excellent understanding of the current HIV/AIDS management trends, familiarity with the current international models lor rolling out HIV/AIDS service provision in the developing world.
- Should possess comprehensive knowledge of a variety of other programming interventions (such as nutrition and food security) complementary to the success of HIV/ AIDS service provision in the community.
- Should be willing to stay and work in a rural district.
- Should be willing to spend up to 50% of their time on motorcycle offering support supervision in the field to ensure successful implementation ol the programme.
