- To offer direct and general support to partners in the areas of institutional strengthening/ capacity building, planning, reporting, implementing, monitoring and evaluating social protection (PSS & SGBV) strategies and activities.
- Be responsible for mobilization of program partners, carrying out partner capacity assessments, organising skills training and learning exchanges, reporting and undertaking monitoring and evaluation, making follow up with the partners and providing technical support.
- Represent CARE International in Uganda in different meetings and coalitions aimed at facilitating program implementation and advocacy for social protection and wellbeing of women and girls.
- H/she will inter-alia work with other Programme Component Specialists and partners/allies to build the capacity of community based structures, and provide technical assistance (TA) for social protection at different levels.
- Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work and Social Science discipline field
- 5 years of experience working in Social Protection (PSS & SGBV) programs with direct contact to beneficiaries.
- Familiarity with Participatory Learning in Action (PLA) methods.
- Experience in carrying out trainings and assessments.
- Experience in donor reporting and development of briefing papers.
- Knowledge and understanding of IASC Guidelines on Mental Health and Social Protection (PSS & SGBV) in emergency situations.
