Duties and Responsibilities
- Digitizing , editing , performing analysis and publishing GIS maps to GIS Server or desktop
- Sharing and managing of GIS Data especially at the server Level
- Routinely updating the GIS Systems Geo-data bases and maps ) with data from reference Data bases
- Maintain an update GIS Database of the status of the licensing for oil and Gas activities
- Training geological assistants , technicians and attendants in GIS Aspects
- Ensuring proper storage of GIS data both soft and hard copies
- Liaising with suppliers on issues regarding Arc GIS Software licensing and maintenance
- Participate in the creation of the GIS reference database that will be used in populating of the oil and gas infrastructure in the country
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of second upper ) in Geology , Geographic information Systems , computer science , surveying or other relevant field from a recognized institution higher institution
- Minimum of 2 years of increasingly responsible relevant professional experience in GIS or information management or other related field
- Knowledge of related software and systems ( databases , word processing , desktop publishing
