Growing Young Entrepreneurs, Fixed Term a One-year contract, Salary & Benefits (UGX 1,876,134 gross per month, 13th Month, Medical and training); (Based in Pader Northern Uganda)
Job Summary:
· Reporting to the District Programme Coordinator, the Enterprise Development Officer will ensure timely and proper planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WCUK’s project on “Growing Young Entrepreneurs” in Pader.
· (S)he will support in developing modalities for collaboration and partnership; coordinate activities of the enterprise mentorship team and project steering committee; participate in market context analysis and in positioning and designing of interventions and business models; and mentor and coach the identified youth.
· (S)he will also be responsible for following up on progress made by individual young people supported by the project and draft reports for management decision making and donor reporting.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
· You should possess a University degree in a business field, preferably Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Business Studies or in an area of institutional development linked to Enterprise development.
· You should have at least 3 years of relevant working experience in supporting and fostering establishment of enterprise/business set up, preferably in semi-urban and rural areas; plus knowledge of gender and social inclusion concepts for empowerment principles.
· The person must have a good understanding and appreciation of the context.
