Job Summary: The Chief Accountant is supported by a team of 1 to 2 accounts officers. The fast-growing business is currently developing a state-of-the-art integrated management information system. The Chief Accountant oversees the migration to the new system early 2013. SolarNow offers attractive career opportunities to high-performers in the local and international context.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Correct and complete back office processing of transactions;
· Deliver accurate, relevant and timely financial reporting;
· Liaise with (inter)national auditors, government banks, insurers, etc; and
· Internal control
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Hands-on pragmatic approach with good people skills and dynamic team player
· Positive and self-motivated attitude, preferably with passion for the company’s goals.
· Degree level plus an accountancy qualification.
· Multiple years of professional experience including legal, audit, compliance and budgeting responsibilities.
· Exposure to large debtor ledgers and/or warehousing systems will be an advantage.
