· Must hold a PhD in relevant discipline.
· Must have teaching experience of at least four (4) years.
· Must have published at least three (3) peer reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals or three (3) book chapters or at least one book published with a reputable publishing house.
· Must have a good record of community service.
· Should have supervised at least one masters student to completion
· Should demonstrate competence in developing other departmental staff.
· Must be proficient in using relevant computer packages.
· Should have good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Must be a person of high integrity.
