The Law Development Centre (LDC), Uganda invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant posts:
POST: Procurement Officer
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director, LDC
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Two (2) years Contract (Renewable)
SALARY: Attractive
AGE: Not more than 40 years old
Key Responsibility: Plan, manage, coordinate and facilitate the procurement and disposal processes and strategies in line with laid out Centre policies, guidelines and procedures and the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act (2003)
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- An Honours Bachelors Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, B.Com or BBA (Management option with Procurement as a major subject), Humanities or Sciences with a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from a recognised university/ institution.
- Partial or full internationally recognised Professional qualification in Procurement from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS), SPSM, or International Supplies Management (ISM).
- Computer literate in several packages like Spread Sheet, Ms Word, and Database Management.
- Trained and knowledgeable in the New Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets System.
- At least five (5) years working experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management at a senior level in government or reputable organisation
