Job Summary: To provide support to the Internal Audit Manager in checking and monitoring adherence to organizational policies and procedures to meet the Authority’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
· Conduct expenditure audits.
· Carrying out revenue audits.
· Carrying out audits of assets and liabilities.
· Conduct audit of contracts.
· Conducting audit of other operating data and reports.
· Conduct field audits whenever required.
· Carrying out assessments on the adequacy, reliability and effectiveness of the system of internal controls.
· Providing high level technical advice.
· Preparing draft audit reports.
· Any other related business as might be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and skills.
· Should have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in either Commerce or Business Administration majoring in accounting.
· Partly qualified Accountant (ACCA, ICPAU, ICPAK and/or CIA).
· Should have at least two years’ working experience in an audit environment and in a commercially business oriented environment
· Should be highly computer literate
