Primary function: Responsible for the management of the Company’s Accounts
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for DD&A booking, common cost allocation and monthly operating cost accrual.
· Preparation and design of financial/ managerial reports for presentation to Management.
· Responsible for regular and ad hoc analysis.
· Closing of the General Ledger for Month- end, Quarter-end and Year-end financials.
· Preparation of Quarterly balance sheets and P & L Fluctuation Analysis.
· Calculation and analysis of the monthly expense variance analysis.
· Consolidation, inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting.
· Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and compliance to internal policies.
· Manage Fixed Assets.
· Balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
· Interface with management in various Departments, at both operational and technical level.
· Other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
· Minimum 4 years related working experience in a successful Multi-National Company
Knowledge:
· Extensive knowledge of both Uganda and International laws on Economics, Commerce and Financial Accounting.
· Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
· Extensive knowledge of the SAP Software.
· Clear understanding of oil Exploration & Production.
