Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant
Location: Kampala, Uganda.

Primary function: Responsible for the management of the Company’s Accounts Payables.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Process and record invoices for timely and accurate payment.
· Verify invoices against contract terms and other agreements.
· Process invoices for payment, resolve discrepancies and carry out reconciliations.
· Prepare and process accounts payable checks, wire transfers and ACH payments.
· Process and record monthly Accounts Payable accruals.
· Reconcile payable accounts with supplier statements.
· Produce aging summary reports.
· Maintain the vendor/supplier files and monitor the accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
· Assist with month end closing.
· Prepare the monthly cash call and send corresponding notice.
· Work to resolve cash management issues with Banks and Company Departments.
· Other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree or above in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
· Minimum 3 years related working experience in the ‘Accounts Payable’ function
Knowledge:
· Extensive knowledge of Finance, Accounting and Banking,
· Extensive knowledge of IFRS and other GAAP.
· Extensive knowledge of SAP accounting software package or related.
· Clear understanding of oil Exploration & Production.
