Position: Sales Officer
Joint Medical Stores (JMS) is a Church founded private not-for-profit organization whose mission is to supply medicines, medical equipment and related healthcare services, and training of assured quality to the people of Uganda at affordable prices.
Following internal staff changes coupled with plans to implement some initiatives aimed at increasing access to quality medicines and medical supplies to beneficiary health units served by JMS, we are seeking to recruit qualified, competent and motivated candidates to fill the following vacancy: Sales Officer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Post holder will among other things:
· Receive customers, assist them in placing their orders and provide them with relevant information such as JMS terms and conditions of sale, payments and order processing time.
· Check customers’ orders to ensure they are authentic and duly authorized (signed, stamped, complying with the law) and translate them into appropriate sales document (such as quotation, pro- forma invoice, order confirmation, picking list) using the appropriate software.
· Respond to customer requests for sales information (on availability, alternatives, product range, price etc) promptly and courteously, and provide relevant advice or where necessary refer them to other relevant officers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
· Diploma in Pharmacy, Nursing or related field.
· A bachelor’s degree in the listed fields will be an added advantage.
· Two year’s working experience in a busy pharmaceutical/medical business environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· High level of integrity
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player
· Well developed oral and written communication skills
· Able to take initiative, prioritize work load and meet strict deadlines
· Able to pay attention to detail and appropriately respond to challenging situations.
· Knowledge of other local and or International languages will be an advantage
