Regional Sales & Trade Development Officer Job at PACE Uganda

Job Title: Regional Sales & Trade Development Officer (2 Positions)
Reports to: Regional Manager
Job summary: Manage, implement and monitor all field sales and distribution activities associated with PACE in the assigned territory.
Duties & Responsibilities:
·         Implement the Key Accounts sales and distribution strategy for the allocated territory and coordinate viable sales promotion and marketing activities. Monitor and evaluate key account performance.
·         Develop the assigned key accounts, build their capacity and expand their distribution areas by linking them up with outlets in allocated territories.
·         Identify new key accounts /wholesalers within territories and provide logistics support to ensure that minimum stock levels are maintained within the distribution channels.
·         Supervise the key accounts and general trade in the assigned territory to ensure high level of trade support and establish loyalty to PACE products, policies and standards.
·         Ensure that all outlets have in-store point of sale materials and outdoor point of sale where available.
·         Monitor radio campaigns and other mass media activities and recommend improvements to the Sales and Marketing department based on feedback from the community.
·         Conduct regular spot checks on recommended retail price in various outlets; conduct market intelligence on pricing, competition and awareness levels on PACE products/brands.
·         Collect sales revenue within the specified credit period and maintain accurate sales reports.
·         Handle customers’ complaints and liaise with the relevant officer to ensure that the complaint is attended to and feedback given.
·         Collaborate with other partners and stakeholders like CBOs, NGOs, District authorities and community mobilizers to promote PACE products and brands.
·         Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Regional Manager.
Qualifications:
·         Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or marketing related field.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills (excellent communication and presentation skills).
·         Previous experience with the private sector is preferred.
·         Valid national driving permit with demonstrated ability to drive is a MUST.
·         Demonstrable ability to identify customer needs and present benefits to meet customer needs and overcome objections.
·         Demonstrable ability to obtain and analyze market information.
·         Ability to work effectively with other regional functions/teams in support of PACE customers.
